Station, Stamina, and Stride: The Sustaining Power of Jesus

People wonder where I get all my energy and I just have to say it comes from Jesus. If I don’t spend time with Him, I feel myself beginning to slow down physically, mentally, and spiritually. I have to get lit with His fire to keep doing what He wants me to do. In today’s episode, we are talking about Station, Stamina, and Stride.

Show Notes: Station, Stamina, and Stride: The Sustaining Power of Jesus

Tamra shared about her recent public speaking engagement where she surprised the audience with a keynote speech. She talked about her connection with the audience and how she wants to inspire them to be who they are called to be. She also talked about the fire starter, which is Jesus, and how she wants to remind people that God’s idea is much older and rooted compared to the ideas of the world, and about the power of Jesus.

She also shared about her grandpa and how she recently had a dream about him. She realized that she should have acted on it, and when she planned to call him, she received a text message that he was in the hospital. Tamra talked about the importance of acting on God’s promptings and being intentional with the blessings that we have.

Tamra also shared that she is currently on a 21-day fast, which is more than just about food. It’s about shifting her attention to God, feasting on the word, and creating a fresh altar of surrender towards the things we nibble on all day long. She shared a quote by John Piper, “If we don’t feel strong desires for the manifestation of the glory of God, it is not because we have drunk deeply and are satisfied. It is because we have nibbled so long at the table of the world. Our soul is stuffed with small things, and there is no room for great.”

Tamra encouraged listeners to come and sit at the new table that Peloton and Preach offers and thirst for the Lord. She also reminded listeners that it’s not coffee before Jesus but Jesus before everything. Walk in the power of Jesus.
