God brought Katie Moon and I together when we met in Costa Mesa, California at a Christine Caine conference. She is from North Dakota, so it is definitely a God thing we connected. Hi! My name is Katie Moon, and I am a Biblical researcher, writer, and artist.nnAfter a career as a professional illustrator, I “happened” into seminary (a story in itself!). After a few years of seminary study, I stepped aside from traditional Bible education to blaze another learning trail. This new path was spearheaded by the Holy Spirit and built upon research methods and models adapted and advance throughout thousands of research hours.nnI officially founded my non-profit org, In Black and Light, in January 2017 (though the work began in late 2012), where I conduct perpetual behind-the-scenes research, write, build online Bible courses, and am working to reach and equip as many as possible in Biblical literacy and their identity in the Christ.nnMost recently, I have begun working toward marrying my art and research backgrounds to create something totally new.
