Many of us have wondered about our life’s purpose, the reason why we were created, and how we can make a meaningful impact in this world. It’s a universal quest to discover one’s divine calling, and it often involves a deep exploration of faith, identity, and a willingness to follow the path that God has set before us.
In a recent episode of the “FIT in Faith” podcast, host Tamra Andress and special guest Faith Ann Wright shared valuable insights on how to find your divine calling. Faith’s own journey from a young age reveals that our divine calling is closely connected to our obedience to God’s guidance. In this blog, we’ll explore the key takeaways from their conversation and offer guidance on how to embark on your own journey to discover your divine calling.
The first and most crucial point to understand is that finding your divine calling often begins with obedience. Faith Ann Wright emphasized that biblical success is synonymous with obedience to God’s plan. Obedience doesn’t mean waiting for an audible voice from heaven; it means being open and willing to take action.
God may prompt us to go in a particular direction, and we should be prepared to take that first step even when it seems daunting or uncertain. By following these promptings, we demonstrate our trust in God’s guidance. Obedience often becomes the vehicle that leads us to our divine calling.
It’s natural to question whether we have the confidence to pursue our divine calling. However, as Faith Ann Wright wisely pointed out, confidence is a byproduct of taking action. Many people believe that they must first become confident before taking action, but the truth is quite the opposite.
When you step out in faith and start your journey towards your divine calling, you will gradually build confidence. Just as you gain momentum on a treadmill, your confidence increases as you continue walking in obedience. The initial step may be challenging, but as you persist, your trust in God’s plan deepens, and your confidence grows.
In a world that often glorifies perfection and success, it can be challenging to embrace vulnerability and share our authentic experiences. But vulnerability is essential in the process of finding your divine calling. Faith Ann Wright highlighted the power of sharing both your successes and challenges with others. By opening up and sharing your journey, you not only create authentic connections but also encourage others on their own paths.
Your story of obedience, faith, and perseverance can serve as an inspiration to those around you. Remember, it’s not about being perfect or having it all together. Your willingness to be real and share your struggles is what makes you relatable and approachable to others seeking their divine callings.
Building a community that supports and encourages you on your journey is essential. The entrepreneurial house mentioned by Faith Ann Wright, where she had the opportunity to collaborate and learn from others, is an excellent example of this. Community helps you stay accountable, provides inspiration, and even helps you avoid feelings of isolation that can sometimes come with pursuing your divine calling.
Consider joining or forming a group where individuals share their faith, support one another, and hold each other accountable. This community can create a safe and nurturing space for personal growth and the pursuit of your divine calling.
Discovering your divine calling is a journey rooted in obedience, faith, and a willingness to take action. Confidence is not a prerequisite but a byproduct of your obedience. Vulnerability and sharing your experiences can inspire and connect you with others on similar journeys, while creating a supportive community is vital to your growth and accountability.
Your divine calling may not always follow the conventional paths to worldly success, but it leads you to fulfill your God-given purpose. As you listen to God’s guidance, step out in faith, and pursue your divine calling, you’ll find that your life is filled with a deep sense of purpose, joy, and the knowledge that you’re making a meaningful impact in the world. So, are you ready to take the first step on your journey to finding your divine calling?
